Liverpool Airport workers vote for strike action

BREAKING: 80 GMB union members will walk out at bank holiday weekend

GMB union members at Liverpool John Lennon Airport have voted for strike action in a row over pay.

Workers from aviation rescue and fire fighting services, the control room, engineering and driver operations and airport bird control will walk out during the bank holiday weekend.

The 36 hour strike will begin 7pm on Thursday August 23 and carry on until 7am Saturday August 25.
