With summer officially here, here is some must dos to complete this summer...

1. Knowsley Safari Park A day at the safari is a must do this summer. Embark on the UK's longest safari drive and drive through the lions, tigers and baboons. The fun doesn't stop after the 5 mile drive - after lunch wander through the birds of prey display and catch a Sea Lion show.

2. Have a picnic in the park Pack a basket full of goodies and take your blanket to one of Liverpool's lovely parks for a lunch in the sun.

3. Ferry 'cross the Mersey Tick this one off the list early and hop on one of the Mersey Ferries. Departing throughout the day, this 50-minute excursion will show you Liverpool from a unique angle.

4. Go in search of Liverpool's secret bars Track down one of Liverpool's hidden bars including Berry and Rye or Ex-Directory. Secret passwords, codes and hidden doors are some of the disguises of Liverpool's speakeasies. The accomplishment of finding them will be worth it.

5. Drink in a roof top bar What better way to enjoy the summer sun than on a rooftop bar in the city. Eden at the Shankly Hotel is planned to open in time for summer that will offer great views of the city, with a sophisticated atmosphere.
