Ladies Day takes over Aintree Grand National Festival
Thousands of racegoers have arrived at Aintree for the second day of the Grand National festival.
Thousands of fascinators hats and thousands more racegoers have arrived at Aintree for Ladies Day at this years Grand National festival.
The day is famous for bringing bright outfits, big hats and high heels to one of the biggest dates in the region's calendar.
More than 150,000 people are due on the racecourse for the three-day racing festival, which culminates on Saturday when the world-famous Grand National steeplechase is run.
The sunshine will be showing off the outfits in all their colour as judges will tasked with handing out the Style Awards for the best dressed.
Organisers are expecting 10,000 bottles of prosecco to be drunk at the Merseyside racecourse over the three days.
Eyes won't just be on the outfits as seven races scheduled to take place today with the first starting at 1:45pm.
