Appeal to find firearms discharged in Kensington last night
Police have been looking at local CCTV
Merseyside Police are appealing for information after reports of a firearms discharge in Kensington last night (8 February).
At around 10.55pm officers were called to Jubilee Drive after it was reported that a suspected firearm was discharged at a house on the street, damaging the window.
Thankfully nobody was injured during the incident and it is believed that the suspect(s) rode off on a electric bike towards Edge Lane.
An investigation has commenced and officers remain at the scene whilst they carry out searches, forensic work, house to house and CCTV enquiries and talk to the local community.
"This is a residential area and there will likely be people who may have witnessed the incident or know who is responsible"
Detective Chief Inspector Rachel Wilson said: “We are in the very early stages of this investigation. We are keen to speak to any witnesses or anyone with any information.
“This is a residential area and there will likely be people who may have witnessed the incident or know who is responsible. I urge those people to come forward, either directly to the police, or via crime stoppers.
“If you spotted anyone making off, please check your CCTV, dashcam or other devices and help us find those responsible.
“Firing a gun in a residential street is extremely reckless and dangerous and could have led to more tragic circumstances.
“So if you know anything, please tell us and we’ll take action against those responsible.”
