An investigation is underway after shots were fired at a house in Bootle yards away from a primary school.

Police were called to Timon Avenue around 12.20pm on Wednesday to reports a house had been damaged.

It's belived an offender, or offenders then left in a car - police say it's believed the house was empty at the time and no one has come forward to say they had been injured.

Parents of pupils of nearby St Monica's Primary School say they were sent texts by the school informing them everyone was safe. Pupils were allowed home as normal at the end of the day.
