Inquest held for baby who was found dead on Wirral golf course
The boys parents have never been found
An inquest has been held today into the death of a baby found dead on a golf course in Wirral.
The baby boy was found at Brackenwood golf course in Bebington in January. The coroner said it's unclear whether he was alive when was born or stillborn, and despite extensive examinations by two pathologists, the cause of death still isn't clear either.
It's believed the baby's body may have been left there some time between December and the 18th or 19th of January. He was eventually discovered in a bag by a dog walker on January 29th.
Despite extensive research and publicity the boy's parents have yet to come forward, and DNA analysis has not revealed an identity.
The baby was laid to rest in a private service at Landican Cemetery in May. He was buried rather than cremated, in case a relative does come forward in the future.
