Health bosses in Liverpool say a shortage of supplies shouldn't mean they'll miss the target of offering all vulnerable adults their first Covid vaccine by next week.

The Government want all most at risk groups to have had the jab by April the 15th.

Across the North West almost four million people have now had at least one jab - that's over half the region's population! Around 500,000 of those have now had their second jab too!.

But with supplies of the vaccine expected to be limited over the coming weeks - Dr Fiona Lemmens from Liverpool CCG says that won't stop them from hitting their target :

"We are on track to get vaccines offered to everybody in the eligible groups by the 15th and it's this group of people we are focusing on over the next couple of weeks.

"Despite the lower vaccine supplies we've still got enough to be offering those first doses."
