Freight Train De-rails
A freight train de-railed at Ellesmere Port on Monday morning causing problems for commuters. It's blocked part of the line and is affecting services between Hooton. The issues are expected to continue until 5pm according to the latest information on Merseyrail's website. Merseyrail has released the following statement: "Due to an operating incident between Ellesmere Port and Hooton the Ellesmere Port line is blocked.
Impact: Train services running to and from these stations may be cancelled.
Customer Advice:
Due to a Freight train derailment at Ellesmere Port, services between Hooton and Ellesmere Port are suspended.
