Four-year-old taken to hospital after Ellesmere Port hit and run

Police are appealing for witnesses and video footage, after a four-year-old was hit by a car in Ellesmere Port.

It happened just before 4.30pm on Thursday (27 June) on Rochester Drive, near to Durham Court.

The child was treated at the scene by paramedics before being taken to hospital as a precautionary measure. Cheshire Police say they sustained only minor injuries and have since been discharged.

The driver of the black car didn't stop at the scene, and made off towards Thornton Road.

Police enquiries are ongoing and as part of the investigation officers are keen to hear from anyone who witnessed what happened.

They're also urging anyone with any dashcam footage or CCTV footage which may aid the investigation to come forward.
