Four charged over murder of Huyton teenager James Meadows

Three men and one woman due in court today

Four people have been charged over the murder of a teenager who was shot while riding as a passenger on a motorbike.

James Meadows, was gunned down in Lyme Cross Road, Huyton, last October and later died in hospital.

Merseyside Police said Dylan Westall, 28, of no fixed abode; Michael Roberts, 24, of Woolfall Crescent, Huyton; and Craig Johnson, 29, of Easton Road, Roby; have been charged with murder.

Westall and Roberts are also accused of conspiracy to possess a firearm with intent to endanger life.

Samantha McDermott, 30, of Rudgate, Whiston, has been charged with perverting the course of justice.

All four will appear from custody at Liverpool Magistrates' Court today.
