Jon Flanagan is in contention to make his first Liverpool appearance in nearly two years tomorrow night.

The full back has been side-lined since the end of the 2013/14 season with a knee injury.

But after successful run outs with the under 21s, he could feature in the FA Cup replay against Exeter.

Speaking earlier at today's pre-match press conference Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp spoke of his delight at Flanagan's possible return.eds "Jon is in a really good way, we're all happy about this. The medical staff decided that though he's not ready for the starting line-up he's fit enough to go on the bench.

It's been a a long time. It's the first step for him to be back breathing in Anfield, and being in the dressing room not in a suit but a tracksuit. If nobody tells me any different he is in the squad."
