Five arrests after man stabbed on the Wirral
The victim remains in a serious but stable condition in hospital
Detectives investigating after a man was stabbed in Wallasey over the weekend have made five arrests.
It happened on Hawthorne Grove in Seacombe in the early hours of Saturday morning, 25 February.
Just after 2.20am, police received a report that a 20-year-old man had sustained a serious stab wound. The man was taken to hospital where he remains in a stable condition.
An investigation is underway and house-to-house and CCTV enquiries are ongoing in the local area.
Five people have been arrested on suspicion of section 18 wounding:
- A 24-year-old man from Egremont
- A 21-year-old woman from Seacombe
- An 18-year-old woman from Seacombe
- An 18-year-old man from Poulton
- A 16-year-old boy from Poulton
They have all been released on bail pending further enquiries.
