Firearm Recovered In Toxteth
Officers from the specialist Matrix disruption team, have recovered a loaded shotgun following a search of woodland off Dingle Lane, Totten
It was yesterday, Saturday 19 December when the firearm was recovered. It will now be forensically examined.
An ongoing search of the area will continue today.
Detective Inspector Craig Turner, said: "This latest recovery means there is one less firearm on our streets that could be used to cause fear, intimidation or harm.
"We are relentless in our pursuit of those involved in gun crime and will continue to take action to protect our communities from those intent on using firearms on our streets" If anyone has any information about those involved in gun crime, or who knows where weapons are being stored I would urge them to contact us so that we can make our streets safer.
