As the number of hate crimes against the LGBTQ community rises across Merseyside, there are fears many more could be suffering in silence.

In the past four years reports of homophobic or transphobic abuse to Police have gone up by almost half.

It follows several high profile attacks in the city centre, sparking our message that Liverpool is No Place For Hate.
