Family of Toxteth schoolgirl Helena Green 'overwhelmed' with support

The family of a teenage girl from Toxteth who died from cancer over the weekend say they've been overwhelmed by people's support.

The family of a teenage girl from Toxteth who died from cancer over the weekend say they've been overwhelmed by people's support.

13 year old Helena Green passed away after battling a rare form of childhood cancer which she was diagnosed with at the age of just 11.

Her Uncle Carl Burns told Radio City News they've had messages of support from all over the world.

He said: "I was speaking to her Grandad a few days ago. He said they've had messages have come as far as Mexico, Switzerland and Denmark which is obviously really comforting at this sad time."

"The people of the comunity have been on this journey this well, and the support from Liverpool and from the surounding areas has been overwhelming for her mum, her sisters and her brother as well"
