The family of a man stabbed to death while walking home from a night out in Prescot have made an emotional appeal to find those responsible.

"There will be people who know who these people are, and I'd urge them to get in touch with the police"

Adam Ellison was attacked on Market Place in the early hours of Saturday morning.

It's believed he was attacked after he became involved in a row with the driver and passenger of a motorbike.

During the incident he was stabbed in the neck with an unknown weapon.

His friends and a number of passers-by went to his aid and called 999 and the offender or offenders rode off in the direction of Tesco supermarket.

Speaking for the first time today - his family say they need justice.

Adam's sister Joanne said: "He was such a good boy. You can ask everybody there's not one person who could say anything bad about him."

"He'd always make you feel special"

"We're all heartbroken that someone could do something this evil. We want justice, and we please ask anyone with information to come forward please because this is heartbreaking"

Police are continuing to investigate the circumstances surrounding Adam's death.

Detective Chief Inspector John Middleton said: "We're looking for two men and what we now believe to be a green and white Kawasaki off road motorcycle"

"People who cause anti social behavior riding these bikes around Prescot village, people will know who they are, and I would like them to come forward"
