Radio City News can exclusively reveal a statue immortalising Cilla Black will be built in Liverpool and will be paid for by her family..
An agreement has been reached between Cilla's sons and City Mayor Joe Anderson. It will be designed and created by a local artist and will make it's home in the City Centre.
The singer and TV star died in August at the age of 72 following a stroke. Thousands turned out in Woolton Village for her funeral.
An official announcement will be made on the artist and location in the new year, but the statue will be paid for by the family and then donated to the city.
Radio City Talk's Pete Price says it's their way of saying thanks for the people of Liverpool for their support
"It's going to be our statue given to us by her sons and it's going to be in the City Centre, not Scotland Road. If anyone else wants to do anything else, that's fine, but this is official"
"The place is perfect, what is being created and what they wanted is breathtaking"
