Everton fans across the world are protesting the decision to dock the club some ten points following the club's excessive losses.

An independent commission made the decision to deduct the points from the Toffees after they exceeded the amount of losses allowed under the Premier League's sustainability rules by nearly £20 million.

As a result of the decision, Everton have gone from being in the top 10 of the League table to dropping to the relegation zone, with the potential to drop down to the English Football League.

Following the news, fans have been organising protests against the League to express their discontent at upholding the commission's decision.

During Manchester City's clash with Liverpool on Saturday (November 25th), a plane - paid for by Everton fans was flown over the Etihad Stadium, which had a banner reading "PREMIER LEAGUE = CORRUPT, UP THE TOFFEES".

The club returns to the pitch for the first time since the points were deducted on Sunday (November 26th), with Everton set to take on Manchester United at Goodison Park.

However, fans are expected to stage a demonstration against the Premier League during the course of the game - with people being urged to use flags, banners and cards during the match to voice their discontent.

The club is challenging the ruling, with over £40,000 being raised by the club - together with fans - to fund the protests.

Fans of the club have expressed their outrage at the decision, with bosses at Goodison Park also criticising the move, including manager Sean Dyche, who admitted he was shocked when he heard the news.

"I think like everyone, certainly in these parts, I was shocked and seemingly from the wave of noise after that, most people in football are shocked by the enormity of it," Dyche said, commenting on the matter for the first time.

"Disproportionate is a word used by the club," he continued. "Obviously we feel a bit aggrieved by that, but on the other hand it doesn't change the focus. The focus since I got there is sorting things out on the pitch, getting the team to win.

"I think we were on the right lines, delivering strong performances. This has just given us a push backwards to come forwards again. The job hasn't changed. It's just made it more difficult under the current circumstances until the appeal."
