Everton agree to lease of land at Bramley Moore Dock

Everton have exchanged contracts on Bramley Moore Dock and now own the lease for the site where they plan to build their new stadium.

In a major step forward, the club have formally signed an agreement to lease the land in North Liverpool.

It now means the Blues effectively controls the land, and the club can now focus on gaining planning consent and secure funding for the stadium's construction.

CBRE, which is acting as advisers to Everton, estimate that a new stadium at Bramley Moore will provide a £1bn boost to the local economy, with a contribution of more than £900m to the region before the stadium is even completed.
