Enquiry after another prisoner dies at Walton prison

An investigation's underway after a second inmate died at Walton prison - the second fatality in just three weeks.
The Ministry of Justice has confirmed Ian Galtress died on Tuesday - and an independent investigation into what happened has now begun.
In a statement, a spokesperson for the MOJ said: “HMP Liverpool prisoner Ian Galtress (30/06/1971) died in prison on 14 October 2018. Our thoughts are with his family and friends."
“As with all deaths in custody there will be an independent investigation by the Prisons and Probation Ombudsman."
