Elderly woman in critical condition after three car crash in Netherton

A 93-year-old woman is fighting for her life after a three car collision in Netherton over the weekend.

It was reported three cars – a black Audi Q3, a blue Audi A4 and a black Ford Galaxy - had been in collision on Dunnings Bridge Road at its junction with Park Lane West at about 12.25pm on Saturday (4th December).

Four of those involved were treated at the scene for injuries. Two were taken for further treatment at hospital - of them being the elderly woman, who was a passenger in the Audi Q3. She remains in hospital in a critical condition.

Roads Policing Inspector Mark Worrall said: “An investigation is ongoing into this incident, and we have spoken to some witnesses and retrieved dashcam footage.

“We are keen to speak to anyone who has not yet come forward with information, and ask that anyone who witnessed the collision or captured anything on dashcam or other devices does so as soon as possible. Your information could be vital to our investigation.

“Whether you come to us directly or anonymously, through Crimestoppers, all information will be acted upon.”
