A man has died following a collision involving a single-decker coach at Ormskirk Bus Station in September.

The incident occurred on 26th September when a Tesma coach rolled back and collided with a man in his 20s at the bus station. Police confirmed that no one was driving the vehicle at the time.

The man, who was the bus driver, passed away in early October.

PC Simon Grounds from the Serious Collision Investigation Unit said: “This collision has very sadly resulted in a young man losing his life in tragic circumstances.

“The police investigation has now concluded, and we are satisfied there has been no criminal act. A file will be passed to HM Coroner in due course.

“We told you about this collision, and asked for your help at the time, so it is only right that we bring you this update. Thank you to all those who assisted us with our enquiries at the time.”

The man's family is being supported by specially trained officers.
