Dispersal Zones introduced across Merseyside throughout Halloween
They're mostly in place for 48 hours
Dispersal Zone's have been enacted across Merseyside, to help people stay safe throughout Halloween and the bonfire period.
The precautionary measure enables police to instruct people to leave the designated areas, and not return for up to 48 hours.
Officers are granted the powers to direct them to leave and to be able to seize items used for anti-social behaviour.
If those asked to leave do not follow the instructions it can lead to an arrest.
The map above shows the indicated area that the Dispersal order is in place for, from 4pm yesterday until 4pm on Friday November 1.
Areas covered in Liverpool City Centre are: Leeds Street, Queens Drive, Byrom Street, Breeze Hill, Hunter Street, Brewster Street, New Islington, Rosalind Way, Brunswick Road, St Johns Road, West Derby Road, Bedford Road, Belmont Road, Dacre Street, Castlewood Road, Regent Road (including Docks), Lower Breck Road, Princess parade, Townsend Lane, Waterloo Road, Cherry lane, Paisley Street, Walton lane, Greta Howard Street.
Other areas of Merseyside have also had Dispersal Zones introduced.
Woolton
The Dispersal Zone in Woolton's in place until 8:30pm on Friday November 1.
Boundaries of the zone are Junc of Quarry Street and Beaconsfield Road onto Woolton Hill Road. Woolton Hill Road onto Acrefield Road. Acrefield Road onto Out Lane onto Kings Drive. Kings Drive onto High Street onto Quarry Street South. Quarry Street South onto Quarry Street onto junction with Beaconsfield Road.
Walton
The areas included in Walton's Dispersal Zone are: Townsend Lane, Queens Drive, Muirhead Avenue, Croxteth Hall Lane, Croxteth Park, Axis Business Park, Gribble Road, Across Longmoor Lane with Haven Road, Sherwoods Lane, Barlows Lane, Seeds Lane, Melling Road, Warbreck Moor, Bull Lane, Across Northfield Road at Westfield Road, Walton cemetery boundary, Stuart Road, Queens Drive, Haggerston Road, Woodhope Road, Walton Hall Avenue, Walton Lane, Cherry Lane.
It's in place until 4pm on Friday November 1.
Speke
Speke Boulevard with the junction of Western Avenue, Western Avenue with the junction of Clough Road, Clough Road onto Alderfield Drive, Alderfield Drive onto Hale Drive, Hale Drive onto Hale Road, Hale Road to the junction with Speke Hall Avenue, Speke Hall Avenue onto the junction with Speke Boulevard are all included in Speke's Dispersal Zone.
It is in place until 4:14pm on Friday November 1.
South Liverpool
As in previous years, a Dispersal Zone is also in place in South Liverpool. The areas included are:
Dingle, until 3.25pm on Friday 1 November, which includes Grafton Street, Harlow Street, Park Road, Dingle Lane, Dingle Road, Garswood Street, Grafton Street.
Belle Vale, until 3.30pm on Friday 1 November, which includes Naylorsfield Drive, Sarum Road, Childwall Valley Road, Barnham Drive, Gateacre Park, Grange Lane, Belle Vale Road, Lee Vale Road, Kings Drive and Naylorsfield Drive.
Garston, until 3.35pm on Friday 1 November, which includes Blackburne Street, Banks Road, Speke Road, Church Road, Chapel Road, Earp Street, Seddon Road, Garston Way and Church Road.
Speke, until 4.15pm on Friday 1 November, which includes Speke Boulevard, Western Avenue, Clough Road, Alderfield Drive, Hale Drive, Speke Hall Avenue and Speke Boulevard.
Sefton
Sefton is also included in the Merseyside-wide Dispersal Zones.
Below are several areas that Dispersal Zones are in place.
Birkdale, until 4pm on Friday 1 November. The zone covers Lulworth Road, Aughton Road, Upper Aughton Road, Eastbourne Road, Crescent Road, Grosvenor Road and Waterloo Road.
Bootle, until 3pm on Friday 1 November. The dispersal zone will cover the South Park/Derby Park/North Park area. It covers the area bounded by Stanley Road, Hornby Road, Knowsley Road, Hawthorne Road, Aintree Road, Stuart Road, Southport Road, Balliol Road, Hawthorne Road, Olivia St and Stanley Road.
Crosby, until 3pm on Friday 1 November. The dispersal zone will cover the Crosby Village/Alexandra Park/Coronation Park/Ramblers/Northern Club/Moorside Park area. The zone will cover the area bounded by Moor Lane, Forefield Lane, Moorside Park, Liverpool Road and Coronation Road.
Aintree, until 3pm on Friday 1 November. The dispersal zone will cover Aintree – M57, A59 Switch Island, Northern Perimeter Road, Copy Lane, Browns Lane, Edward Jenner Ave, Heysham Road, Mersey Rail Kirkby railway, Melling Road, Leeds to Liverpool Canal up to M57 including Old Roan and Aintree Railway Stations.
Formby, until 4pm on Friday 1 November. The zone will cover all areas within the boundaries of Long Lane footpath, Church Road, Liverpool Road, Altcar Lane, Hoggs Hill Lane, The Railway line, Kirklake Road, Woodlands Road, Wicks Lane and Freshfield Road.
Litherland and Seaforth, to 3pm on Friday 1 November. The zone will cover all areas within the boundaries of Hatton Hill Park. The zone will cover the area bounded by Boundary Road, Sterrix Lane, Gorsey Lane, Leeds to Liverpool Canal, Rimrose Borrk, Cambridge Road, A565 Crosby Rd South, Peel Rd, Norton Street, Knowsley Road, Linacre Lane and A5038 Netherton Way.
Maghull, to 3pm on Friday 1 November. The zone covers Green Lane, Dodds Lane, Ormonde Drive, Broadwood Avenue, Hall Lane, Old Hall Road and Moss Lane.
Netherton, to 4pm on Friday 1 November. The zone covers Buckley Hill Lane, Buckley Way, Eden Vale, St Oswalds Lane, Bridge Lane, Swifts Lane and Edge Lane.
Waterloo, to 4pm on Friday 1 November. The zone covers South Road/Victoria Park and Marine Gardens. The zone will cover the area bounded by Brooke Road East, Marine Gardens, Cambridge Road and Crosby Road North.
Southport, to 4pm on Friday 1 November. The zone covers Marine Drive, Esplanade, Promenade, Coronation Walk, Portland Street, Talbot Street, Eastbank Street, Virginia Street, Southport Railway Station, Hall Street, Hawkshead Street, Queens Road, Park Road, Park Road West, Promenade and Fairway.
