Radio City News have uncovered potentially dangerous steroids are being sold online on hundreds of websites.
"I would be really interested in any evidence you might have discovered that demonstrates we are beginning to have a problem here. "
It's illegal to sell them in the UK - but as part of our exclusive investigation we've found they can be bought easily with just a few clicks.
Figures we've obtained with a freedom of information request, show Merseyside Police only made 6 arrests for supplying steroids in the last three years.
Merseyside Police and Crime Commissioner Jane Kennedy:
"Where there is a long term risk to health and society - which is what the violence associated with the persistent use of steroids brings - then it is that element the police would be interested in knowing the facts about.
"I would be really interested in any evidence you might have discovered that demonstrates we are beginning to have a problem here. It’s not one I've identified before. It is one that if we can show there is a problem - I would want to discuss with the police.
