The dad of three-year-old Leon who got lost in Liverpool city centre spoke to City Talk presenter, Adam Catterall following a thank you message he sent went viral on social media.

The dad of three-year-old Leon who got lost in Liverpool city centre spoke to City Talk presenter, Adam Catterall following a thank you message he sent went viral on social media.

The Warrington family had been staying in the city ahead of Duncan Ferguson’s testimonial game, when Leon disappeared sparking a huge search in the city.

After Leon was found safe and well, mum of three, Emma Rooney posted a message on Facebook, thanking the “old, young, teenage and the homeless”.

Community Facebook page, The Four Squares who had been in Church Street the time Leon went missing, posted Emma’s message of thanks to give it more visibility in the hope it would reach the people she wanted to thank. The post took off overnight and has currently reached over 2.7 million people.
