Car Shot At In Liverpool
Officers were called to Waterside in Bootle shortly after 10.10pm on Thursday evening to reports of a firearms discharge following a collision between two vehicles. Detectives attended the scene and found damage to a silver Ford Focus, located on Dale Acre Drive, Netherton consistent with a shotgun discharge. No-one was injured during the incident. It is thought the offenders left the scene in a silver car in the direction of the Northern Perimeter Road. At this stage of the investigation, the motive for the incident is unclear and enquiries are on-going. Crime scene investigators are carrying out forensic examinations at the scene and house-to-house inquiries are being conducted in the area. High visibility patrols have been stepped up in the area to reassure the public.
