A Liverpool taxi driver is hoping to reunite a diamond ring with its owner after he left it in the back of his cab.
Chris Murphy from Kirkdale picked up a passenger and took them to Mossley Hill last Tuesday. Later that day a colleague spotted a Boodles bag with the ring inside.
Chris, 49 rang the jewellers to inform them that he had found the platinum white gold ring and registered it as lost with Merseryside Police. Now he's trying to help as much as he can to get the owner found.
Chris said "The poor man must be at his wit's end."
"I think the price is irrelevant, I think what's really worth noting is that someone wants that ring and it was a present for someone."
Chris added "Let's find the owner of this ring and let's get it back to them as soon as possible hey and with the help of Radio City we can do this."
"We're a hard working city and we'll always do right and I was brought up with good morals and values to return things back to their rightful owner."
