Boy recovering after Park Road accident

A 10-year-old boy is recovering after he was knocked down by a car on Park Road in Dingle last night.

He's in Alder Hey Hospital after suffering a head injury following the collision with a black Audi, just after 5pm on Monday evening.

Police were called at 5.10pm and spent around 20 minutes treating the child at the scene before taking him away in an ambulance for further treatment.

The driver of the Audi has been helping police with their enquiries after stopping at the scene.

Park Road was closed off to traffic for forensic examinations, but has now re-opened.

On Tuesday morning, the boy's condition was described as 'stable' - and his injuries, non-life threatening.
