Boy charged with murder of pensioner on the Wirral

A 15-year-old boy has appeared in court, after being charged with murdering a pensioner on the Wirral.

The boy, who cannot be named for legal reasons, appeared before Liverpool Magistrates Court accused of murdering 69-year-old David Quigley.

Mr Quigley died after being found on Harrogate Road in Rock Ferry, on October 25th this year.

The case has been sent to Liverpool Crown Court, where the teenager will appear tomorrow.

Magistrates today (Thursday) remanded him to youth detention accommodation.
