Body pulled from Liverpool's Salthouse Dock

Police have pulled the body of a man from Salthouse Dock on the Waterfront in Liverpool.

Emergency services were called at around 3.55pm to reports of a body being found in the water.

The male was removed but he was sadly pronounced deceased at the scene.

Enquiries are ongoing to identify the man and notify his next of kin.

An investigation is currently underway and CCTV and witness enquiries are being carried out in the local area. An area around the Dock is currently cordoned off.
