Police investigating the disappearance of 23-year-old Haydn Griffiths have confirmed they have found a body.
Haydn went missing while swimming in the River Mersey off New Brighton at around 10.30pm on Tuesday 19 July.
Police say formal identification is yet to take place, and that at this time the death is being treated as unexplained.
A post mortem examination will take place to establish the cause of death.
