Billinge teen injured after air rifle 'shooting'
A man's been left in a critical condition after an incident with an air rifle in Billinge.
Detectives from St Helens are investigating after a man was apparently shot in the head with an air rifle.
Emergency services were called at around 5.10pm on Sunday to London Fields, Billinge, to reports a 19-year-old man had suffered a head injury. The man was taken to hospital in a critical condition. It is thought the man’s injury was caused by an air weapon. At this stage of the investigation, officers are not looking for anyone else in connection with this incident. The scene was cordoned off for forensic examination and the air weapon will be forensically examined.
