A charity will be collecting real, used Christmas trees across parts of Merseyside in the New Year - in a bid to raise vital funds.

People living in postcodes L15 to L19 and L25 to L27 can register to have their tree collected, chipped and recycled in return for a donation to Child Bereavement UK.

Residents have to register here before Monday 7 January.

The trees will be collected between Friday 11 January and Sunday 13 January.

Child Bereavement UK, which has services based in Widnes and Wirral, also want volunteers to help them with the collection.

They need to be able to work a 9am-5pm shift on any of the collection days.
