First look inside I'm A Celeb castle in North Wales

We've been for a tour around the new home of I'm a Celebrity Get Me Out Of Here!

We're only a few days away from the launch of I'm A Celebrity Get Me Out Of Here with hosts Ant and Dec, and we've been to have a sneaky peek around it's new home in Wales, before this year's celebs arrive.

Due to Coronavirus restrictions, the show has moved from Australia to Gwrych Castle in Abergele and that means we've been able to go behind the scenes of the show before it starts.

The 200-year-old castle in the North Wales town will be hosting the likes of Sir Mo Farah, Vernon Kay, Shane Richie and Beverley Callard when the hit ITV show starts on Sunday evening (15th November).

Our reporter Paul Doward from sister station Radio City was given a guided tour around the new location and talked to a producer:

Why has it moved to Wales?

Wintery weather, no need for suncream, and no possibility of spotting a koala or a kangaroo... this year's series will look very different.

Thanks to the Covid-19 pandemic, the ITV reality show – now in its 20th series – is being filmed at the ruined Gwrych Castle, which overlooks the coastal town of Abergele in North Wales, instead of the Australian bush.
