M&S Bank Arena evacuated during S Club concert

The Arena says it will be launching a full investigation

Liverpool's M+S Bank Arena says its going to carry out an investigation, after people had to evacuate during last nights S Club concert (30 October).

The arena's released a statement saying a 'partial evacuation' was triggered because of a 'minor incident' towards the end of the show.

It says the issue was resolved quickly and S Club were able to go back on stage.

Online, fans have posted saying that the lights went off and they were stopped from using some fire exits.

Several also claim that when they were allowed back in, there were no security checks.

The Arena insists its primary concern is always the safety of the audience, staff and performers.

The arena released the following statement on X:

The full statement says: 'Tonight, as S Club were close to finishing their set at the arena, there was a minor incident which triggered a partial evacuation. The issue was resolved quickly and we were able to restart the show. We will be launching a full investigation. The safety of the audience, staff and performers is always our primary concern.'
