Appeal After Sexual Assault In Runcorn

Police are appealing for help in tracing a man in connection with a sexual assault in Runcorn.

At around 8.30pm on Sunday 9 August a teenage girl was walking down Stockham Lane near to the Kirkhams farm shop when a man approached her from behind before committing a sexual offence.

The man is then believed to have walked off towards Newquay Close where he was seen to talk to two women.

The man is described as being white, slim, about 5ft 6 tall in his early 20’s and having a local accent. He was wearing a plain black peaked cap with brown hair sticking out of the sides which had a ’flick’ to it. He was also wearing a black hooded jacket with a black t-shirt underneath which had a coloured pattern on it some of which was orange. The man is also believed to have been wearing black ‘skinny’ jeans which were low hanging and had black converse style pumps with white laces and soles.

Police are keen to speak to the two women seen talking to the man and are asking them or anyone who may have any information which would help them with their enquiries to call 101 quoting incident number 924 of 9/8/15.
