Thousands of students across Merseyside and Cheshire are getting ready to open their A-Level, AS Level, and T-Level results!

While many will be celebrating after opening their results, there will be some feeling disappointed by not getting the results they're hoping for.

The City of Liverpool College will be among those celebrating and supporting their students.

Principal Elaine Bowker said:

"They've worked really hard and hopefully whatever the outcome is, it's a good outcome because you'll have got more than you had this time last year or two years prior.

"To parents - please don't worry"

"There are so many opportunities now for young people, or an adult, looking for their next opportunities. My big piece of advice would be, first of all, congratulations and well done, you'll have gained a lot and also and to parents, please don't worry - there are so many opportunities available and lots of options, lots of advice, lots of support, all you need to do is call in.

Many students will be nervously waiting to see if their results get them to their next destination, but some know already.

City of Liverpool college student Dan Forsyth already knows he has a space at Edge Hill University from September, studying paramedic practice.

Dan said:

"I felt absolutely ecstatic (when I found out) because my dreams are all essentially coming true.

"I've wanted to become a paramedic since I was ten years old.

"I (am) so excited to see what this next chapter in my life has in store for me."
