A 7 year old boy has died after a crash on the M57 during last weekend's bad weather.

Sebastian Constantin Movila was a passenger in a car that hit a tree after aquaplaning around Junction 2 near to Knowsley Safari Park.

He was seriously injuried, and later died in hospital.

His parents paid an emotional tribute in a statement. They said:

"To our wonderful little boy, Sebastian, you will forever be in our souls.

"We will miss you more than words can explain, take care of us all from Heaven.

"Sebastian was a loving seven-year-old who, loved life, his football and tennis and living here in the UK, where he had been since August 2015.

"We felt it fitting to allow his organs to be donated to other children in order that they live."

Police Family Liaison Officer, Constable Kurt Timpson added: "The events of last Saturday evening have devastated a lovely family. They wish to thank everyone who stopped on the motorway to help them and for those who gave first aid to Sebastian and themselves.

"They now ask that they be allowed time and space to be together to deal with their terrible loss."
