Merseyside Police has arrested two men following the discovery of a cannabis farm with around 100 plants in Anfield

Officers raided a property on Suburban Road at around 2.25pm yesterday and located a cannabis factory inside.

While officers were searching the premises they found two men under the floorboards.

An 18-year-old man and a 17-year-old male were arrested on suspicion of cultivation of cannabis. They have been taken to a police station in Merseyside to be interviewed.

A number of rooms in the property had been adapted for the growing of cannabis, with a total of 100 plants growing, and more cannabis plants were found to have been cropped.

The electricity was also found to have been illegally bypassed. The farm would have had an estimated annual yield of about £400,000.
