16 year old charged with attempted murder after stabbing in Liverpool
Another 16 year old was attacked in Aigburth on Tuesday night
Police have confirmed that a 16-year-old boy has been charged with attempted murder after a stabbing in Liverpool.
At around 10.20pm on Tuesday 9 April, we received a report that a 16-year-old boy had arrived at an address on Woodlands Road, in Aigburth, with two stab wounds to his chest.
Emergency services attended and he was taken to hospital in a critical condition. He remains in hospital and his condition is now described as being serious but stable.
As part of an ongoing investigation, it’s believed that the attack occurred on nearby Hailsham Road and inquiries are ongoing to establish the circumstances of the incident.
A 16-year-old boy, who can’t be named for legal reasons, has today, Thursday 11 April, been charged with attempted murder, Section 18 wounding with intent and possession of a bladed article. He has been remanded and will appear in Liverpool Youth Remand Court tomorrow, Friday 12 April.
