15-year-old boy arrested over knife attack at party in Huyton

An 18-year-old man was left with "potentially life-changing injuries" according to police

A 15-year-old boy is among two teenagers to be arrested after a man was left with a "potentially life-changing" injury to his hand following a knife attack in Huyton.

The 18-year-old is believed to have run from a nearby party straight into a pub in the early hours of Saturday morning (27 September), with a serious injury.

He was rushed to hospital, while a 17-year-old girl was also treated for a minor injury to her hand.

In an update, Merseyside Police said: "We have arrested an 18-year-old man on suspicion of s18 grievous bodily harm with intent and s18 wounding with intent.

"We have also arrested 15-year-old boy on suspicion of s18 grievous bodily harm with intent.

"The injured man remains in hospital and enquiries remain ongoing."
