13 Year Old Girl Dies

A 13 year old girl has died after being found unconsious at a house in Liverpool. Emergency services were called to an address in Woolton on Wednesday evening. Paramedics tried to revive the girl and rushed to hospital where she was pronounced dead a little while later. Tests will be carried out to establish how she died and it is being treated as unexplained but not suspicious. Merseyside Police has released the following statement:

Merseyside Police can confirm enquiries are underway following the death of a 13-year-old girl at hospital.

At about 6pm emergency services were called to a property on Out Lane in Woolton to a report a 13-year-old girl was unconscious and unresponsive.

Police attended and attempted to resuscitate the girl. Paramedics then arrived and continued to attempt to resuscitate her as they took her to hospital. Unfortunately the girl was declared dead a short time after arriving at hospital. Next of kin were present and have been informed.

The scene at the property has been cordoned off for examination.

A post mortem is to be conducted to establish the cause of death.

At this time the girl’s death is being treated as unexplained though it is not believed to be suspicious.
