12 year old boy hit by taxi in Mossley Hill

A 12 year old boy has been taken to hospital with serious injuries after a collision involving a taxi in Mossley Hill this morning.

At around 9.20am, a call was received of a collision involving a Peugeot private hire taxi and a 12-year-old boy pedestrian at the junction of Green Lane and Menlove Avenue.

Ambulance and officers attended and the boy was taken to hospital with serious injuries. Two other children who were passengers in the taxi have been taken to hospital with minor injuries.

A road closure is currently in place at Menlove Avenue and Queens Drive heading out of the city while officers carry out enquiries.

Police are appealing for witnesses to come forward
