The Queen's granddaughter Zara Tindall and her husband Mike have welcomed their second child into the world, a healthy baby girl.

The news was released in a statement by Buckingham Palace earlier today, it read, 'Mrs Michael Tindall was safely delivered of a baby girl on 18th June, at Stroud Maternity Unit. Mr Tindall was present at the birth. The weight of the baby was 9lbs 3oz.

'The Queen, The Duke of Edinburgh, The Princess Royal, Captain Mark Phillips and Mike’s parents, Mr Philip and Mrs Linda Tindall, have been informed and are delighted with the news. The baby’s name will be confirmed in due course. This baby is the second child for Zara and Mike, the fourth grandchild for The Princess Royal and the seventh great-grandchild for The Queen and The Duke of Edinburgh.'

The happy couple first announced they were expecting their second child back in January, one year after they'd suffered a heartbreaking miscarriage. The news was broke via a spokeswoman who said, "I can confirm Zara is pregnant with her second child." A spokesperson for Buckingham Palace later added, "The Queen and the Royal Family were very pleased to hear the news."

Zara and Mike, who married back in 2011, already share a three-year-old daughter called Mia together.

The couple were last spotted at the wedding between Prince Harry and Meghan Markle last month, with Zara looking stunning as she showed off her bump.
