WATCH: David Beckham knocks on family's front door and hands them $100,000
He appears on life-changing US TV show Knock Knock Live
David Beckham has changed a family’s life forever by knocking on their front door and handing them $100,000 (£64,000).
The 40-year-old former footballer appeared on US television show Knock Knock Live last night, which features celebrities who give beleaguered families the shock of their lives.
Tuesday night’s premiere episode centred on the Gonzalez family – the father had been a football player in Mexico but had to give it up to work in the construction industry.
Making minimal money, the dad was forced to work away and only got to see his wife and children once a month.
Knocking on the front door, David was greeted by screams from the flabbergasted family as they all ran over to embrace him.
Armed with some amazing news, David dished out an iPhone to all seven members of the family before telling them that all of their phone bills were covered for the next decade!
Saving the best news for last, a grinning Becks then handed over a cheque for $100,000 (£64,000) to tears of happiness and astonished looks from the Gonzalez clan.
“Giving the cheque for $100k, you can see it means so much to them,” an emotional Becks said afterwards. “You can see it has literally changed their lives.
“I'm very fortunate in my life, and to be able to do this for this family that works so hard, it is an amazing feeling.”
The climax of the Ryan Seacrest hosted show saw the ever-lovely David join the Latino family for a kick around in the back yard! Amazing scenes!
