Rita Ora to open a school in Kosovo
Her heritage has always played a big part in her life.
Rita made headlines last month after not knowing if Newcastle was in Britain, but despite her geography not being that great she's decided to open a school in her native Kosovo.
Rita was born in Pristina, Kosovo's capital and her family fled to Britain just before war broke out in the former Yugoslavia.
Although the singer grew up in the UK her heritage has always played a big part in her life and according to sources she has wanted to open a school for some time.
"The school will be named in her honour and she's hoping it will inspire the students there to keep hope," a source told a national newspaper.
Earlier this year the 24-year-old singer was made an honorary ambassador for Kosovo saying, "this is amazing. Thank you madam president for this honour. I am so emotional. This is so incredible for me."
The 'Body On Me' singer is currently mid-way through her first season of The X Factor where she will be mentoring the Girls.
