Rihanna Wows In Transparent Dress Adorned With 216,000 Crystals

Rihanna stole the show at the CFDA Awards in New York last night by wearing a see-through gown encrusted with hundreds of thousands of Swarovski crystals.

The Barbadian pop superstar attended Monday’s glitzy bash to pick up her Fashion Icon of the Year honour and ensured she was the talk of the red carpet with her bold fashion choice.

The bespoke 1920s style dress and headpiece was created by her long-time fashion cohort Adam Selman and came complete with 216,000 Swarovski crystals.

Leaving absolutely nothing to the imagination, Rihanna’s tattoos and breasts could clearly be made out in the glare of the awaiting media’s camera flashes.

During her Fashion icon acceptance speech, Rihanna told the Lincoln Center audience: "I can compensate for all of my weaknesses with fashion. Fashion should never be frustrating, it should be fun."

Other attendees at the Council of Fashion Designers of America Awards included Solange Knowles, Mary-Kate and Ashley Olsen, Heidi Klum, Iman, Tom Ford, Naomi Campbell, Lupita Nyong’o and Jennifer Hudson.
