Woman found responsible for children's stab wounds during Trial of Facts
A hearing took place at Lincoln Magistrates’ Court.
A woman has been found to have unlawfully committed the act of stabbing two 10 year old boys at an address in Friskney near Skegness.
it was in November 2022 that the incident took place.
The jury were shown evidence that the prosecution described as ‘overwhelming’ - From body cam footage showing 41 year old Anne Marie McEvoy waving a knife through a window to interviews from the 2 boys describing how they were terrified and scared that night - which meant after less than an hour deliberating - they reached a unanimous verdict
Police went to the scene on Fold Hill on the 29th of November at 4:30pm but only gained access to the property at 1:30 in the morning - with negotiators and firearms officers accompanying them - neither of the boys were found to have life threatening injuries and are now fully recovered.
Officials had previously concluded that the defendant was not competent to participate in criminal proceedings.
