The annual Lincolnshire Wolds Tractor run is taking place on Sunday 8 June.

Now in it's 17th year, participants are set to once again decorate their tractors yellow to raise funds for Marie Curie.

The run will start at Caudwell’s Yard in Ludborough at 10am, with tractors invited to arrive from 7am, and finish at Stainton Le Vale's Open Farm Sunday event.

We've been speaking to organiser Megan Hammond, "the farm is where my family grew up, my dad works there and we've been able to be part of this from the very start," she said.

"To see how it's progressed, it's fantastic, and the people that have come on every single run to new faces, it's just lovely to get everybody together.

"I'm really hoping it will continue for a long while."

Last year the run raised over £3000 for hospice charity Marie Curie, and this year they're hoping to surpass that total.

"We usually do about £3000 a year, if we could do a little bit more this year, that would be absolutely great," said Megan.

"Locally, Marie Curie, we've lost a lot of services, so they're desperate to get as much support as they can."

Megan says the run is also a great opportunity to bring the local farming community together, "load of kids come and they're all coming on their tractors and talking to the drivers - that's our future of farming," she said.

"So for us to see it and for people to come and have a look at Stainton Le Vale's Open Farm Sunday event, it really just shows the inner workings of a farm."
