What was on the menu at HMP Lincoln?

We can exclusively reveal the items which were served up in prison for Christmas dinner 2021.

Inmates had the choice of Chicken Breast, Vegan Wellington or Lamb Curry as they sat down for their main course.

That was followed by Christmas Pudding for desert, and Christmas cake or crackers for tea.

Information provided by HM Prison and Probation Service show meal contents have remained much the same over recent years, with cereal and fruit juice also provided at breakfast.

Meals in jail are paid for within prison budgets with costs between £2 and £3 per prisoner per day over the last 6 years.
